Robert Becker, D.D.S., M.S., is a specialist in the field of periodontics, and also practices dental implantology. After graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, his multi-faceted career began with six years of general practice. He then completed two years of graduate study in periodontics at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.

Dr. Becker is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, and a member of the Michigan Dental Association and Oakland County Dental Society. He attended the Branemark Implant training at the University of Toronto in 1987. He has taught numerous continuing education courses in periodontics and dental implants, and was the founder and director of a highly successful implant study group. Dr. Becker served on the teaching faculty at The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in several capacities; an instructor of operative dentistry and occlusion, assistant professor of Periodontology, and acting Chairman of the Department of Periodontology. He went on to become the section chief of periodontology at Sinai Grace Hospital.

Dr. Becker’s practice of implantology and periodontics has a special focus on cosmetic/regenerative periodontal therapy. His extensive experience and appreciation for the prosthetic requirements of successful implant restoration enable him to work closely with the general dentist and provide optimal support and assistance with the restorative treatment planning and prosthetic phases of treatment. His commitment to excellence includes continuing education on the latest technological advances in periodontics and implant dentistry, reflecting his dedication to provide his patients with the best care possible.
